Seeing this Species

We caught sight of a rheues macaque in Sơn Trà, Vietnam, while looking for Red-Shanked Doucs. Our encounter was not too long but these macaques are habituated and well established at many urban and religious sites further West in Asia, particularly in the Indian subcontinent.

Feral populations also perist in Silver River State Park in Florida and on Morgan Island, South Carolina.
